Burghley House

Burghley House is a grand sixteenth-century country house near Stamford, Lincolnshire, England. It is a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house, built by and still lived in by the Cecil family. Its park was laid out by Capability Brown.

Bowthorpe Oak, Bourne, Lincolnshire.

This 1,000-year-old tree stands in a field at Manthorpe, near Bourne. Its hollow trunk has been used for parties; at one point, it is claimed, three dozen people managed to stand within it.
